95 crore people are benefiting from social security schemes: PM Modi

In the 123rd episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reported that 64% of India’s population is getting social security.

Around 94 crore citizens are now covered under at least one social security benefit, with expectations to cross the 100 crore mark on verification of additional schemes.

PM Modi highlighted that in India, 64 percent of the population is benefiting from social security schemes.

The Prime Minister said that by the year 2025 this number was less than 25 crores.

PM Modi said, “The International Labor Organization (ILO) has released a major report, stating that 64% of India’s population is definitely getting social security … About 95 crore people are benefiting from social security schemes. This number was less than 25 crores as of 2015.”

This is a significant increase in 19% in 2015. The International Labor Organization (ILO) has recognized India’s efforts, publishing its achievement on the Ilostat dashboard

India has seen a 45 percent increase in social security coverage in the last decade, giving itself the second most in providing social security.

Schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-Gauk), e -ram portal and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) have played an important role in expanding social security coverage.

Increased social security coverage is expected to strengthen India’s global busyness, especially in finalizing social security agreements with developed countries.

Social security agreements with developed countries will ensure the portability of profit for Indian professionals working abroad.

PM Modi also mentioned the report of the World Health Organization, which declared India free from trachoma disease and said that the credit behind the achievement goes to India’s health workers and “Jal Jeevan Mission”.

This year, also, on 21 June, millions of people participated in the International Day of Yoga Celebrations in the international day. It started 10 years ago; For years, this tradition has become even more frightening every year. It also indicates that more people are incorporating yoga in their daily lives.”

He talked about scenes across the country including Visakhapatnam, from where the PM led the biggest Yoga Sabha of three lakh people.

“We saw many mesmerizing images of this festival. In Visakhapatnam, 3 lakh people performed yoga together on the beach. Another incredible vision from Visakhapatnam was that more than 2,000 tribal students performed 108 Surya Namaks for 108 minutes. It was imagined that there was a need for discipline. (AI)
