An 81-year-old Ohio man has been charged with murder after he shot an Uber driver he thought was trying to rob him. On March 25, the victim, Loletha Hall, was found with multiple gunshot wounds near the home of 81-year-old William Brock in South Charleston.

When she arrived, Mr. Bullock threatened her with a gun and asked who she worked for. He took her phone, stopped her from getting into her car and drove away.

“As she tried to escape he shot her once and further exchanges ensued between them. Mr Bullock suffered a head injury and he shot Ms Hall a second time. ”gentlemen. Brock received a scam call from someone claiming to be from our courthouse, telling him that a family member was incarcerated and that he had a large bond. Schultz added that the call went from “I’m an officer of the court” to “We’re holding this hostage and this is a ransom demand.”

Mr. Bullock faces murder charges and could be sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. He was released from the Clark County Jail after posting $200,000 bail.
