Apple has been proud to talk about focusing on user privacy, which has even annoyed giants like Meta, who have lost touch with making money by pushing personalized ads to people. However, Apple is equally committed to protecting users from other events that may occur, especially those that are difficult to track or control because they involve external factors.

As part of Safer Internet Day this week, Apple thought it was important to highlight some of the efforts it’s making to keep iPhone users safe from any significant threats or possible intrusions. While the company has a plethora of features to keep users safe, we decided to highlight 5 tools that Apple recently introduced to keep users safe.

Application restrictions – As the name suggests, you can set limits on the time spent on specific apps. Ideally, these limits would be set for social media applications, or even YouTube to some extent. Setting limits allows you to reduce screen time and receive reminders about your usage.

Communication security – This feature is essential to protect children by alerting them of sensitive content they receive through messages or apps like WhatsApp and Telegram.

limit – Parents have the power to limit their children’s use of the device and control the apps they can download or in-app purchases they can make. Controlling content allows kids to use iPhone responsibly.

iCloud Private Relay – Apple uses this feature to make your web activity anonymous and secure whenever you browse on the Safari web browser. Using the website in this mode keeps your private details safe.

screen distance – Finally, Apple will remind you when you’re at a safe distance from the screen, which is crucial if you have a heavy screen time schedule. The company uses the TrueDepth camera to detect when iPhone users move closer than 12 inches for extended periods of time.
