26 people were killed in Pahalgam, because Modi government did not provide security: Mallikrajun Kharge

Web Desk, 20/05/2025

Congress President Mallikrajun Kharge on Tuesday criticized the Modi government for alleged security flaws, leading to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, resulting in 26 deaths.

Kharge claimed that the government failed to provide adequate security arrangements for tourists, despite being aware of potential security threats.

Mallikrajun Kharge said, “26 people were killed in Pahgam because the Modi government did not provide security there. The Center did not provide police protection or force to the tourists. Modi did not say anything about it. People going to Kashmir on 17th did not go, but not as their intelligence security, because their intelligence safety did not tell them because their intelligence was not safety.”

He alleged that the intelligence agencies of the government had informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the security threat, but no action was taken to warn the tourists. Kharge condemned the priorities of the government and said that the security of the Prime Minister was given priority on the lives of citizens.

“You knew this. When you canceled the journey to Kashmir, why did you not tell the tourists through the police? Why did you not ask the tourists not to go there? If you told them, 26 lives would have been saved. Pakistan has been saved. Pakistan has no power. It is no power. It is weak. It is more than our country. It is more than our country, but not for people, but not for people.”

He attacked PM Modi and said that the Congress would never be weak by the notices sent by the central agencies.

He said, “Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi gave their lives for this country. You felt that we should give Ed and CBI notices to such a party and cause trouble and weaken it.”

Earlier, Congress leader Pawan Khera posted an edited picture of Lok Sabha leader (LOP) Rahul Gandhi after his IT cell-charge Amit Malviya in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, compared with Asim Munir, the head of Pakistan’s Army, and suggested that he could achieve Sheeshan-e-Pacisan.

Without the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khera said that someone who went to eat biryani with former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was more worthy of Nishan-e-Pakistan.

“As far as Nishan-e-Pakistan was concerned, his leader, Morarji Desai, was the only Indian politician who was honored for leaking the mysteries of RAW. No one else got it … Some more people are entitled to Nishan-e-Pakistan, such as Lal Krishna, who was not convened in a secular manner, who was not convened in a secular manner.

He also excavated the Minister of External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, alleging that he had already informed Pakistan about the attacks on terrorist camps.

“We think he will get Nisha-e-Pakistan. There is another person who deserves Nisha-e-Pakistan-who said ‘at the beginning of action’.
