20th KK Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition held in Delhi

Lawyer Gautam Khazanchi made concluding remarks and expressed his gratitude.

New Delhi:

Delhi University Campus Legal Center on Friday organized the KK Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition to mark its 20th anniversary. The event was established in 2005 in memory of late senior lawyer KK Luthra.

This year’s competition saw a huge number of entries with 72 universities and colleges from India and abroad showcasing their promotional skills. These include universities from Singapore, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Zimbabwe.

Supreme Court Justice Hima Kohli was the chief guest and Supreme Court Solicitor General Suryaprakash V Raju attended the event as the chief guest.

In his speech, Mr. Raju thanked the organizers and the Luthra family for their excellent work in organizing and hosting this debate over the past 20 years. He advises students on legal practice and shares his experience as a trial defense attorney.

In her speech, Judge Colley shared the wonderful time she spent as a law student at the Campus Legal Center. She said that lawyers should think carefully before speaking, speak confidently and not ramble. She ended her speech with a quote from Thomas Jefferson: “I am a great believer in luck, and I have found that the harder I work, the more luck I have.”
