Ten years ago, hundreds of schoolgirls were abducted by the Islamist terror group Boko Haram in northern Nigeria. Many negotiated their escape or gained their freedom, but the fate of 82 girls hinges on the hope of reviving a once vibrant advocacy group. The Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group dominated global headlines following the 2014 abductions. In the decade after the attacks, mass kidnappings became more frequent and activists grew tired.
