1 killed, another injured in firing in Delhi's busy market

A tempo driver died on the spot while another person was injured in firing by unidentified assailants in a busy market in Delhi on Monday afternoon.

The incident has been reported from Dayal Market in Alipur area of ​​outer Delhi.

The dead person, who was shot with 6-7 bullets, has been identified as Narendra Malik. He was declared dead in the hospital.

Narendra Malik was previously involved in a robbery case in 2017 and an Arms Act case in 2019.

The other person, his colleague, Tarun, was shot in the leg. He is being treated at Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela.

Four people riding on two bikes wearing helmets came, opened fire on both of them and ran away.

Police say inter-gang rivalry is suspected, the dead man belonged to the Gogi gang.

FIR has been registered and six teams have been formed to search for the accused and investigation is underway.
