Zayn Malik is excited for his 3-year-old daughter Khai to follow in his musical footsteps.
In a recent interview with L’OfficialThe 31-year-old musician was full of praise for Khai – whom he welcomed with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid , 28, in 2020 – and her burgeoning talent.
“Khai has a lot of natural abilities,” he says proudly.
The former One Direction member further mused: “I know, it sounds ridiculous because she’s only three years old, but her memory of language, especially when it’s formatted in musical meaning, is amazing for her ‘s. She’ll remember every song she likes.”
Malik further expressed his expectations for Kay’s bright future, noting that she mastered chord progressions and complex musical runs early on.
“I look forward to seeing what she can do as he gets older,” he exclaimed.
The doting father reflected that Kai was just starting to realize what his calling was and was very curious about it.
“Whenever a song came on the radio, she would ask everyone, ‘Is my dad singing?’ But she was shy in front of me,” he recalled fondly.
However, he admitted that Khai is not joining him on his upcoming album, room under stairsbecause when he left, it was “past her bedtime.”
