Officials on Friday released handwritten diaries detailing months of abuse by convicted child abuser and YouTuber Ruby Franke. Ms Ruby, known for providing parenting advice to millions of people online, was sentenced last month to up to 60 years in prison.

She previously pleaded guilty in December to child abuse charges against her six children.

It is important to note that in February, Ms. Ruby was sentenced to four separate prison terms ranging from 1 to 15 years. Additionally, her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt received the same sentence.

Now, in the latest incident, prosecutors have released her diary, which includes heavily redacted entries. In her entries, Ms. Ruby repeatedly insisted that her son was possessed by a demon, NBC News reported.

The report refers to an article from July 11 last year in which Ms Ruby wrote it was “the great day of evil”.

Describing the day, Ms Ruby mentioned an incident in which her son was pushed into the water and she covered his nose and mouth with her hands. Detailing the incident, Ms Ruby wrote that she did it to help the boy.

Citing another article, the report said Ms Ruby described her daughter as “manipulative” and further described how she forced her to stand in the rain for two hours.

In releasing the diary, officials changed her children’s names and referred to her 9-year-old daughter as “E” and her 12-year-old son as “R.”

Ms Ruby wrote in the entry on July 11, 2023: “R was told to stand in the sun wearing a visor. He was defiant. … R or should I say his demons stayed in the shadows. I Pushed R into the sun. R came back. I came back with the Cactus Poker. R didn’t even flinch when I poked his back to get some sun. I poked his neck. He was in a trance and didn’t seem to have any Feeling. Jody tapped him on the cheek to wake him up.”

In the transcript the next day, Ms Ruby talked about her daughter E and how she cut her daughter’s hair and “doused” her with water in “dog wash”.

According to the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office, the women were arrested “after Ms. Frank’s 12-year-old son climbed out of the window of Ms. Hildebrandt’s residence in Ivins, Utah, and ran to a neighbor’s house for help. Neighbor The boy was found to have duct tape on his ankles and wrists, severe cuts and malnutrition. He quickly contacted law enforcement, who upon arrival learned that there may be more children remaining at Ms. Hildebrandt’s home and in critical condition. In danger.”

After searching the house, officers found Ms Ruby’s nine-year-old daughter petrified and hiding in a wardrobe.

“Children were routinely deprived of food, water, a bed to sleep in, and virtually all forms of entertainment,” Utah State Attorney Eric Clark said of child abuse.

In court, Ms Ruby burst into tears after the sentencing, saying: “I was very disoriented and thought dark was light and right was wrong. I was led to believe the world was an evil place full of controlling police officers , hospitals that hurt, government agencies that brainwashed, church leaders who lied and lusted, husbands who refused to protect, and children who needed abuse.”
