The Redmi Note 13 5G series will soon receive HyperOS update in India. The company announced the development on Friday, confirming that the base model as well as the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ models will get the update to switch to Xiaomi’s latest Android 14-based UI. Notably, the Chinese smartphone brand launched the HyperOS user interface in India in February this year. The new interface will run on the company’s smartphones, smart home devices and electric vehicles.

The company announced the launch of HyperOS via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. According to the smartphone maker, the HyperOS update is rolling out to Redmi Note 13 series users in the country. However, it may take a few days for all users to get the update. The Redmi Note 12 series is also expected to receive updates in the future.

HyperOS will bring new features to the Redmi Note 13 5G series, including lock screen customization, a new control center, updated icons and fonts. The interface has also been significantly improved. The latest update also includes new productivity features such as a workstation mode for the tablet and connectivity features for the Xiaomi ecosystem.

For example, users can now view their phone screens on their tablets. Xiaomi Smart Center also allows users to check all smart home devices installed in their home and acts as a unified control center.

Previously, Xiaomi revealed in an update the list of smartphones eligible for HyperOS updates in the second quarter of 2024 (April-June). Eligible smartphones include Mi 11 Lite, Mi 11i, Mi 11i HyperCharge, Mi 11T Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 10, Redmi K50i, Redmi 12, Redmi 11 Prime, as well as the Redmi 13C series and Redmi Note 11 series. In addition, Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is also confirmed to receive an update.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has also released a list of eligible smartphones that will receive the HyperOS update during the same period. These smartphones include Poco F4, Poco M4 Pro, Poco C65, Poco M6, and Poco X6 Neo.
