Xiaomi Mix Flip, Mix Fold 4 camera details leaked; Launch timeline tipped

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are expected to go official as the Chinese tech brand’s next-generation foldable smartphones later this year. A new leak gives us a look at the camera specifications of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip. It is said to feature a 50-megapixel main shooter with a telephoto sensor. The foldables are tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

This launch timeline is on par with the previous launch schedule – the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 was initially launched in August 2023. It is speculated that they will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset under the hood. Both the smartphones are said to be lightweight and share similar camera specifications.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 1/1.55-inch sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), and an OmniVision OV60A 2x telephoto sensor with a 1/2.8-inch size. The Mix Fold 4 is said to get an additional 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto with 5x zoom. It is also said to come with an IP rating and support wireless charging.

According to previous leaks, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be limited to China. In contrast, the Mix Flip is expected to launch in China and global markets except India and Japan.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is likely to have a main display with 1.5K resolution.
