Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra releases 50-megapixel quad rear camera: see price

Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra was unveiled in China on Thursday, February 22. The phone joins the Mi 14 and Mi 14 Pro, which were launched in October 2023. The range is confirmed to be launched globally on February 25, ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. Like other phones in the Mi 14 series, the Mi 14 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and comes with the new HyperOS user interface. The phone is available in three RAM and storage configurations and three color options.

The Mi 14 Extreme Commemorative Edition is equipped with a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED micro-curved display with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The display is curved on all sides and protected by shielding glass, which Xiaomi claims is extremely tough. It is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage. The phone runs on Android 14-based HyperOS.

In terms of optics, the Mi 14 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera unit housed in a central, large, slightly raised circular module. It consists of a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and two 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors – one with 3.2x optical zoom and the other with 5x optical zoom and a focal length of 75 mm and 120 mm, respectively. Meanwhile, a fourth 50-megapixel sensor is paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera houses a 32-megapixel sensor.

The Mi 14 Ultra Commemorative Edition is equipped with a 5300mAh battery and supports 90W, 80W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. The phone also supports 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, NavIC and USB Type-C. For security, it comes with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone also has an IP68 dust and splash resistance rating. At the same time, the Titanium Special Edition also supports two-way satellite communication.

The black and white Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra weighs about 224.4 grams and measures 161.4mm x 75.3mm x 9.2mm. The blue and titanium options of this model are similar in size but weigh 229.5 grams and 229.6 grams respectively.
