Woman's body found in Telangana, police suspect rape

Medchal-Malkajgiri (Telangana):

The body of a woman was found in Kukatpally area on Sunday morning. Police suspect she was raped by the accused in the early hours of the morning.

The police have opened a case.

The woman was identified as Sujatha, aged approximately 42 to 48 years.

ACP Kukatpally Srinivas Rao said, “Around 10.30 am, we received a call that there was an unidentified female body in the cellar of AR PipeWork shop near Vishnu Priya Lodge at Y Junction, Kukatpally. The deceased was about 42 years old. Aged 48, we suspect she was raped around 4 to 4:30 am.”

He further said that the police are investigating.

“We have sent the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination (PME). We are looking for the accused through CCTV cameras. A clue team and a police dog team have reached the spot. A case has been registered. Further investigation is on,” he further said.
