A woman was given an additional fine for the garbage after throwing a parking ticket on the floor.
The anonymous woman received an initial parking ticket from a civil enforcement officer after launching her car in a no-loading zone in Falmouth, Cornwall.
In footage published by the local council, the woman proceeded to rip the ticket from her windscreen and throw it on the floor. He then misused the officer orally. The incident was captured on the officer’s body camera.
He later received a £ 250 fixed penalty notice for garbage, in addition to parking fine. The penalty was reduced due to initial payment, while he was sent another copy of the parking charge notice.
She becomes the third person to face a fine of £ 250 for garbage as the Cornwall Council falls on the offense.
A person was fined for throwing an egg custard carton from his vehicle on a country’s lane in the St. Austell region. Another woman was fined after leaving a drink bottle after climbing a car in Falmouth.
The CCTV of the events was shared with the council in both examples, and the staff made more inquiries to identify criminals, who admitted crimes.
Both paid £ 150 due to the initial repayment option, the council said.
County Councilor Thalia Marrington, the portfolio holder for community safety and public health, said: “Cornwall is beautiful, and we want to keep it in this way.
“There is no excuse to leave the garbage and when we have evidence of these crimes, we will always try to find out those responsible people.
“Also public CCTV cameras, more and more people now have doorbells and home security cameras that capture this type of crime.
“I urge anyone with such footage to report it so that we can check.”
