An Italian woman claims to be the secret granddaughter of the founder of Lamborghini sports cars. Naples beautician Flavia Borzone also said she had DNA evidence to prove this after testing her daughter Elettra’s saliva, the Daily Telegraph reported. The outlet further claimed that Ms. Borzone said she hired a private investigator to retrieve the straw used by singer Eletra to prove they were sisters.
The details emerged in a court case filed in Bologna on Monday.
In the lawsuit, she claimed that DNA samples were tested at the University of Ferrara, and experts said the genetic samples proved Borzone and Elettra were related.
The 35-year-old also claimed that Tonino Lamborghini and her mother, Rosalba Colossimo, met at a bus stop in 1980. Tonino Lamborghini’s father founded the luxury car business in 1963.
Mr Lamborghini was allegedly driving when he noticed the young woman waiting for a bus and stopped to give her a lift. The pair then allegedly began a relationship, which ended with Ms Borzone’s birth in 1988.
“I don’t want to offend anyone, I just want to know whose daughter I am,” Ms Bozone told the court, according to The Daily Telegraph.
However, the outlet further claimed that Mr Lamborghini denied Ms Bolzoni was his daughter and sued her and her mother for defamation after she went public with her discovery.
But her lawyers claimed that Mr Lamborghini “admitted to having a relationship with Colossimo” in a conversation recorded by Ms Borzone, whose real name – Clelia – was a tribute to her mother.
Ms. Borzone’s mother said she did not pursue the case for financial reasons. “My daughter doesn’t want money, she just wants the truth. If it was all about money, I would have done it when Flavia was two,” Ms Colosimo told The Telegraph.
The trial was postponed until March.
