West Bengal: Devotees gather in temples to pray on Maha Ashtami across the state.

Kolkata, September 30 (IANS) Maha Ashtami, one of the most important days of Durga Puja Festival, is being celebrated with huge devotion all over West Bengal on Tuesday. A large crowd of devotees included a crowd of temples and puja pandals in various parts of the state, including Murshidabad, Kolghat, Eastern Midnapore and Kolkata, offering prayers and participating in rituals dedicated to Goddess Durga.

In Murshidabad, Ashtami Durga Puja was organized by Arunachal Durga Puja Committee, a female -led initiative. Devotees gathered in large numbers to attend the worship ceremonies and offer their prayers with heartfelt reverence.

In East Midnapur, Ashtami Pooja offered flowers and prayers with a stable flow of devotees in several puja pandals. Kanthi Nandanik Durgotsav Samiti had a special crowd in the puja mandapa, in which people were paying tribute to Goddess Durga. In particular, the state opposition leader Suavendu is about to visit this pandal to pay his honor to the deity.

A large -scale voting of devotees was observed for the state capital, Kolkata, Ashtami Pushranjali, an important ritual seen during Durga Puja. Maha Ashtami marked the third day of the Sharadotsav celebrations, and from the morning, crowds gathered in various puja pandals across the city, holding Belpatra and flowers as offerings.
