Hardik Pandya is finally happy after Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 29 runs to register their first win of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite the team’s third consecutive defeat, Hardik is finding it difficult to stay away from the headlines. After a string of defeats, and with doubts starting to creep into the minds of players and fans alike, Hardik admitted that a lot of minds have to be “cleared” ahead of the match against Delhi. As a result, MI gained 2 points in the league standings for the first time this season.

At the post-match presentation ceremony, Hardik had no hesitation in admitting that a lot of hard work had gone in behind the scenes in the dressing room for MI to experience their first win of the season.

“It was a lot of hard work,” Hardik said after the match. “We sorted out a lot of ideas, made sure our plans were right, our intentions were right and today was one of those days where everything went right. There was a lot of love and care around. Everyone knows we lost three games but mutually The belief and attitude of support is there and it’s great. We just need a win and today is just the start.”

Romario Shepherd’s late blitz saw MI post 234/5 against Delhi, scoring 32 runs in the final over for the home team.
