Police have paid tribute to a police officer who was shot dead while responding to a robbery after a man was found guilty of murder.

Piran Ditta Khan was today (4 April) convicted of the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky, who thwarted a raid on the family-run Global Express travel agency in Bradford in November 2005 was killed.
