A British council meeting was abruptly canceled amid public calls to discuss a ceasefire in Gaza.

Hastings Borough Council was due to hold a full council meeting on Wednesday evening (March 20), but the meeting was cut short in less than two minutes.

In a recording of the meeting available online, an inaudible man can be seen standing in the back of the room speaking as the meeting begins.

The meeting was subsequently canceled and the live broadcast ended after 1 minute and 52 seconds.

Police were filmed inside the council chambers after the meeting was adjourned.
