Not long ago, showrunner Robert Kirkman told The Collider of the reasons for splitting the season into two halves, “It was just a little bit of the production process because of the time it took to speed things up. It’s taking a lot longer than we thought.” So viewers will have to wait until Season 2 this year to finish.
