Vodafone Idea has launched Cloud Play, a cloud gaming service for mobile platforms, promising to launch high-quality mobile games such as “Asphalt 9”, “Modern Combat 5”, and “Shadow Fight”. The service, launched in partnership with Paris-based cloud gaming company CareGame, will be subscription-based with prices starting from Rs. 100 per month. Vi said in a press release that the Cloud Play service will offer AAA mobile games in the action, adventure, arcade, racing, sports and strategy genres. The telco confirmed that its launch catalog will include Asphalt 9, Modern Warfare 5, Shadow Fight, Storm Blade, Riptide, Beach Buggy Racing and Gravity Riders, among others. game. The company says more games will be added to the service in the coming weeks. Cloud Play subscription starts at Rs. 100 per month, or Rs. 104 recharge for prepaid users. However, Cloud Play will initially be free to trial. Vi confirmed the service’s “try before you buy” model, which will be free during a free trial period. While the telecom operator did not specify the duration of the trial period, users will eventually have to subscribe to play the game.

Cloud Play works similarly to any other cloud-based gaming subscription model, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia’s GeForce Now, and JioGamesCloud. After subscribing, users can directly access the game library without downloading games. However, cloud gaming does require a fast and stable internet connection.
