Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates Virat Kohli and Dinesh Kartik got into hilarious banter during a recent question and answer session, with Kohli’s ‘your wife’ remark catching Kartik completely off guard. In a video posted by the team on social media, Kohli and Karthik, along with teammates Faf Du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj and Rajat Patidar, took part in an interesting discussion. Karthik asked his teammates to guess his favorite sportsperson after cricket, to which Kohli quickly replied “your wife”, referring to famous squash player Deepika Palikar. Parrikar has won gold medals at both the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games and is considered one of the top squash players in the country. The answer stunned Kartik for a second and he burst into laughter and even admitted that he agreed with Kohli but initially, he had a different answer in mind.

Dinesh Karthik: Apart from cricketers, who is my favorite sportsperson?

Virat Kohli: Your wife?

Dinesh Karthik: This is definitely a good answer (laughs). I have a different answer in mind. You caught me completely off guard, I swear.

RCB lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 25 runs in IPL 2024 after conceding the highest number of goals conceded by a team in the history of the tournament. SRH scored a record 287/3 in 20 overs.

“Our (batting performance) was much better and it was a proper t20 wicket. Just tried to get close in the end but 280 was long. It was tough. We tried some things, we tried different things. There is no way when you The fast bowlers find it very difficult when the confidence is low and similar to batting angles, we need to ensure that the run rate does not drop off after the powerplay and never give up (in the run chase). Seeing this battle, 30-40 runs is a bit too much from a bowling perspective, it’s important to step away and refresh your mind, it’s a mental game sometimes you feel like your head is going to explode when. When you come back into the game, you have to give it your all,” RCB captain Faf du Plessis said after the match.
