Love is in the air as Malayalam actress Lena recently confirmed her marriage to India’s Gaganyaan Mission Captain Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair. On Thursday, renowned chef Suresh Pillai, who shares a close bond with the couple, took to his social media to spread some congratulatory magic. In a heartwarming video from Leena and Prashant Balakrishnan Nair’s wedding reception, Nair charmingly described their union as a “second innings” for both of them. Suresh Pillai posted a video on Instagram where Prashant Balakrishnan Nair expressed his gratitude to those present during their “great moments” and described their marriage as the beginning of a new chapter. “Yet, with you all gathered here today, it feels like the beginning of an innings of a lifetime. Lots of love,” he concluded, which was followed by a kiss between the couple.
For those unaware, the wedding took place on January 17, but the couple kept it a secret, possibly due to Prashant Balakrishnan Nair’s recent project. A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had revealed the names of four astronauts including Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair. The other astronauts are Group Captain Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla.
Lena shared a glimpse of her wedding on her Instagram, revealing that they had a traditional ceremony through an arranged marriage. In his heartfelt note, he referred to the historic moment when Prime Minister Modi awarded the first Indian Astronaut Wings to Prashant Balakrishnan Nair on February 27. She explained that due to privacy requirements, they waited for the announcement to reveal their marriage, which took place on February 27. January 17, 2024.
