Another said: “The earth will shake, is it time to understand that no amount of money can change the earth and its climate? This is your chance to change your mind and your future.”

To defuse the situation, someone asked: “Is Taylor Swift having a concert nearby?” For those who don’t know, last August, American rapper Travis Scott performed in Rome’s ancient Concerts at the Arena Maximus sparked fears of earthquakes.

The Statue of Liberty was struck by lightning during heavy rain on Wednesday. Photographer Dan Martland captured the moment lightning seemed to come from the Statue of Liberty’s torch.

Speaking of the lightning strike, one user added, “Liberty is having a rough week.”

Meanwhile, New Jersey was hit by a 4.0-magnitude aftershock on Friday. Gov. Phil Murphy called on residents to follow emergency protocols. “New Jersey just experienced an aftershock. Please follow the emergency advisories provided and do not call 911 unless faced with a true emergency,” he tweeted wrote.

The aftershock was said to be centered 7.4 miles northwest of Bridgewater, just over the Somerset County line.
