At least 15 people were killed when a nightclub roof fell on Tuesday morning in the Republic of Dominican, said emergency services, rescue operations are still going on.
The roof of the Jet Set Night Club collapsed during a performance by Rubby Perez, a famous Merangue singer in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Caribbean Nation, which was also trapped in the debris.
Juan Manual Mendez, director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), said, “Unfortunately, we have had 15 deaths so far … We are expecting many more people to find alive.”

He did not provide details on the number of injured, which was stated by the local media that it included dozens of people.
Mendez said, “As long as life is expected, all the officials will work to fix or save these people.”
He said that the people trapped in the debris were asking for help.
More than 370 rescue teams are working to discover the victims.
Officials have not reported an estimated number of people who were in the nightclub, which local media said that there is a concert or party every Monday night.
President Luis Abinadar said on X that the government is “following the case after minutes after minutes.”
He said, “All rescue agencies have provided necessary assistance and are tirelessly efforts in rescue efforts. Our prayers are with the affected families,” he said.
