A video of scared passengers inside an Indigo flight going from Delhi to Srinagar has gone viral on social media. The short video shows frightened passengers inside the plane as it is hit by severe turbulence.
On Monday evening, a flight taking off from Delhi caused turbulence in Srinagar due to strong winds. Weather conditions worsened with heavy rain and snowfall, causing delays in flights.

A 30-second video shot by a passenger on board the plane shows passengers holding on to their seats tightly as the flight begins to shake. Concerned passengers look around as the disturbance increases. The shaky clip ends with nervous murmurings among the passengers.
The plane landed safely in Srinagar but was delayed.
In a statement, IndiGo said the flight was affected due to “bad weather”.
“IndiGo flight 6E6125 from Delhi to Srinagar encountered severe turbulent weather en route. The crew followed all operational protocols and the flight landed safely in Srinagar. “We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the inclement weather,” the statement said.
The airline also issued an advisory stating that flight departures and arrivals in Srinagar will be affected due to inclement weather.

The weather department has warned of “extended rain” across Jammu and Kashmir till Wednesday afternoon. It has predicted light to moderate rain and snowfall at most places including plains and low-lying areas.
