At least 10 people have been killed in a mid-air collision between two navy helicopters in Malaysia. The incident took place at the Lumut Naval Base at 9.32 am (0132 GMT) on Tuesday.

According to details, the collision took place when the helicopter was rehearsing for the Royal Malaysian Navy parade.

Videos on social media show the moment of the clash at the Lumut Naval Base.

In a statement, the Navy confirmed the death of all 10 crew members aboard the aircraft involved in the accident, news agency Reuters reported.

“All the victims were confirmed dead on the spot and sent to Lumut Army Base Hospital for identification,” the Navy said.
