Video: How ‘heroic’ shoppers at Sydney mall fought off attackers

At least five people were killed in a stabbing and shooting incident at a busy Sydney shopping mall on Saturday afternoon, local media reported. Hundreds of people were evacuated from the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center near Bondi Beach after the stabbing. Later, the attacker was also shot and killed by a police officer. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a video from inside the mall has gone viral on social media, showing a man fending off a knife-wielding attacker on an escalator in the mall.
