Shantanu Guha Ray wins multiple awards for her sharp journalism

New Delhi:

Senior journalist Shantanu Guha Ray, a regular contributor to NDTV, passed away. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication and the Wharton School, Mr. Ray is known for his profound knowledge and interdisciplinary writings.

He is an award-winning journalist with a career spanning more than 25 years, including as Asia Editor of China Europe News.

His work spans many worlds, from investigative journalism features to business, human interest stories and even sports.

His big breaks include the 2011 coal scam – long before the CAG scandal report – and irregularities in the land lease deal between the Airports Authority of India and the GMR-led Delhi International Airport Ltd.

Awards received by Mr. Ray during his illustrious career include the Ramnath Goenka Award for cricket writing, the Laadli Award for reporting on cervical cancer deaths in India and the WASH Award for his work on water-related issues.
