“Very happy to be in this great city”: PM Modi thanks Vadodara after Roadshow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday thanked the people of Vadodara after a vibrant roadshow.

Describing the experience as “extremely delightful”, PM Modi thanked the citizens for their warm welcome and blessings.

PM Modi said, “Thank you, Vadodara! It was very happy to be in this great city. It was a great roadshow and that too in the morning!

The Prime Minister organized Roadsho as part of his two -day visit and laid the foundation of several developmental projects in the state.

The PM was seen waving on him, interacting with the enthusiastic mob, and he waved back with the Indian flag in his hand and chanting patriotic slogans.

The region was alive, in which the Prime Minister was showering flower petals and songs were based on the spirit of the nation echoing in the background.

Family members of Indian Army officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who were part of media briefing during OP Sindoor, were also present in the roadshow and scratched the Prime Minister with flowers.

The Prime Minister will be in Gujarat from May 26 to May 27 and will perform foundation stones for several developmental projects to promote infrastructure and economic growth in the region.

A student from Zimbabwe, who studied in Gujarat to participate in PM Modi’s roadshow, said, “We are standing with India in the fight against terrorism. When they (terrorists) attacked tourists, India attacked terrorist bases and not citizens. We support India.”

The Prime Minister, today, will also visit Dahod and dedicate the country to a locomotive manufacturing plant of Indian Railways.
The plant will produce electric locomotives with 9000 HP for domestic purposes and exports. He will also flagged the first electric locomotives built from the plant.

He will flag Vande Bharat Express between Verival and Ahmedabad and Valsad and Dahod stations between the express train.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone and will inaugurate several development projects worth about Rs 24,000 crore in Dahod.

As stated in an official release from the Prime Minister’s Office, he will also address a public function there.

The PM will also visit Bhuj, where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects worth more than Rs 53,400 crore.

On May 27, Prime Minister will visit Gandhinagar and will participate in 20 years of celebrations of Gujarat urban development story and launch urban development year in 2025. He will also address the gathering on the occasion. (AI)
