Saturday night Live A new promo was released for the upcoming episode, featuring Maya Rudolph as the host and Weekend Vampire as the musical guest.

In classic Thursday promo style, this week’s host was with snl Regular cast member Kenan Thompson. The two shared some comedic moments in various cuts throughout the promo.

Early on, after Rudolph introduced himself as host, the dynamic duo made fun of the band in fake Transylvanian accents, which didn’t go over too well.

The band members, apparently unimpressed, said, “This is no good, guys.” Rudolph immediately made amends and apologized sincerely to the musicians.

In the next take, things took an unexpected turn when a long-standing squabble between the two over the missing hair dryer resurfaced, which was interrupted by the band members.

The promo then transitioned to a third shot, in which Thompson asked the trio how they came up with their band’s name.

“Oh, it’s a combination of our real names. I’m Vampire Friday. I’m Vampire Saturday. And I’m Vampire Sunday,” he quipped.

Additionally, during the fourth take, amid Rudolph and Thompson’s crossfire of adjectives about the upcoming episode, a band member said one word, “Resplendent.”

With Rudolph, who made him Saturday night Live Marking his debut as host in 2001, the episode is scheduled to air on Saturday, May 11.
