Kaley Cuoco pays emotional tribute to on-screen father John Ritter

Kaley Cuoco attended the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health event, An Evening from the Heart, in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 9, to honor her late TV father, John Ritter.

The event celebrated Ritter’s life and legacy and was aimed at raising awareness of aortic health.

Ritter died in 2003 at the age of 54 from “misdiagnosed acute aortic dissection,” according to the foundation’s website. The 38-year-old actress looked very beautiful at the event held at Sunset Room Hollywood.

Cuoco told at the event people magazine “He touched so many lives,” he said in an exclusive interview. The actress claimed to be close to Ritter’s family, who has “worked very hard” to raise awareness of aortic dissection for the past 20 years.

“I would do anything for his wife and his kids,” Cuoco says. “And I’m really proud to be here and honor him.”

Celebrities such as Cheri Oteri and Holly Robinson Peete were in attendance at the event to raise funds for the organization.

According to the website, the organization was founded by John’s wife Amy Yasbek Ritter in 2003 with the mission to “spread awareness of aortic health and prevent unnecessary suffering through genetic research, comprehensive education and radical advocacy.”

Amy attended the ceremony with John’s son, Tyler Ritter, one of their four children.
