Reaction from railway department as passengers without tickets crowd Kashgar Express air-conditioned buses
In recent days, some railway passengers have taken to social media to report the dire conditions on trains, which are overcrowded and passengers without tickets occupy seats. Now, an X user recounts his disappointing experience on the Kashgar Express. Passengers who had booked seats in AC Coach No. 2 claimed that several ticketless passengers hijacked the coach, blocked the passage leading to the washroom and stood at the door. Users claimed that the train’s air conditioner was not working properly because the doors were open.

Taking to his tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and other authorities, he urged them to take necessary action. “Ashwini Vaishnaw, sir, please check the condition of the air conditioner on the 2nd floor. There is no food, no water. There is no place to go to the washroom. The air conditioner is also broken and the door is open. [There’s no space to go to the washroom. The AC isn’t working, and the door is open]. Please take any action,” the passenger wrote.

In the following post, user X also shared a photo of the carriage. “Please take any action. Chote Chote bachche Gate ke paas hain. Mahilayein gateway ke paas hain [There are small children near the gate. Women are near the gate]”He wrote.

The X user shared this post on the Weibo site a few days ago. Since then, the video has been viewed more than 17,000 times. The post also attracted the attention of Railway Seva, an official account that provides support to passengers. Sewar Railways responded: “Necessary action has been reported to the concerned official DRM Bhusaval.”

Meanwhile, users took to the comments to ask authorities to adopt stricter rules.

“@AshwiniVaishnaw ji this happens in most trains. Please be aware,” one user wrote. Another commented: “@RailMinIndia, @AshwiniVaishnaw, what a terrible experience and safety hazard. It’s time to take drastic measures to protect train journeys. And it’s hurting our national image too.”

A third user suggested: “The government should increase train frequency or set up a system like a meto service where you can’t enter the platform without a ticket.” Another said: “Things are now out of the hands of the authorities… They are unable to manage and perform their duties…It is a shame for the Indian Railways authorities, who enjoy salaries and benefits…but failed to handle the situation wisely.”
