URI: Small drowns, 2 people are missing, saved as a family

A 13 -year -old boy died, two people went missing and another was rescued after being dismissed near the canal, where a family became tragic on Sunday.

Reports said that four people slipped into the water canal of the lower Jhelum hydroelectric project, which is a power project located on the Jhelum River near Uri in Baramullah.

Immediately after the incident, eyewitnesses told GNS that a large -scale operation was started, successfully saving one person, while the other’s body was taken out near Biyar. When this report was filed, apart from the efforts of the rescue team, including SDRF and police, one of the 13 -year -old and the other 30, one of them, was running to locate the residents of Srinagar.

The deceased has been identified as 13 -year -old Ibrahim bin Shokrat, who is the son of Shukat Ali Shah of Narkara Budgam. The rescued person has been identified as 31 -year -old Syed Mohammad Ilyas Gilani, the son of Mufti Abdul Rahim Geelani, son of Thokhdganj Baramulla.

Officials told GNS that he was shifted to PHC Sheeri and his position was stable.

The two missing persons have been identified as 30 -year -old Mehnaz Rashid Shah, who is the son of Abdul Rashid Shah of Khanyar Sriringer and 13 -year -old Ahmed bin Khalid, son of Khalid Mehraj Shah of Hedra Srinagar. (GNS)
