UP: School bus collides with truck, 10 students injured

Heavy fog led to a collision between a school bus and a truck in Anupshahr district on Saturday, injuring 10 students, police said. They said the driver of the truck was detained.

Anupshahr Circle officer Anoop Singh said the accident occurred around 8 am when the truck hit the bus after overtaking a tractor trolley laden with sugarcane near Jirauli village. There were 33 people on the bus, including 28 students. Police and government officials rushed to the scene and took the injured children to hospital, police said. Of the children injured, four had broken legs. The slightly injured person was sent home after first aid.
