A civil judge allegedly committed suicide at the government residence in Badalun, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

Judge Jyotsana Rai is a resident of Mau and has been serving in Badayun for one year. She took over from Ayodhya a year ago. This is her second post.

To quote the source, Arnie Reports say Rye did not open the door on Saturday morning and her assistant notified police.

After being notified of the incident, the district judge, SSP and judicial officers reached the judge’s residence. A forensic team also reached the spot and collected samples.

It’s unclear what prompted Rye to take the extreme step. More details are awaited.
