Bus catches fire in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, many people feared dead

Ghazipur:

Today, a bus was electrocuted and caught fire in Uttar Pradesh’s Gazipur district, killing five people and injuring ten others. The originally joyful wedding procession turned into a sad scene.

According to reports, the bus had at least 30 passengers on board as it was heading towards a temple (a wedding venue). Efforts are underway to extinguish the fire.

Shocking footage from the scene showed raging fires as local residents struggled to put them out.

Emergency crews and authorities have been mobilized to the scene to provide aid and support to those affected.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those killed in the accident and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.
