The Union Cabinet on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and said the love and affection shown towards him by the people has established him as a “people’s hero”.

A resolution read by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at the Union Cabinet meeting also said that the “people’s movement” for Ram Temple has started a new story and described Modi as the harbinger of a new era.

In a historic program led by Prime Minister Modi, the idol of Lord Ram was consecrated in the Ayodhya temple on Monday.

“In 1947, the body of the country gained independence, but the ‘prana pratistha’ of its soul took place on January 22, 2024,” the resolution adopted by the cabinet said.

“The kind of love you have received from the people has established you as a ‘people’s leader’ (Jan Nayak). But, having ushered in a new era, you have also emerged as pioneers of the new era,” the resolution said.

A Union minister who attended the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it was an emotional moment for the entire Cabinet as they felt blessed to be part of the Council of Ministers that witnessed Ram’s ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony. . Temple in Ayodhya.

“This temple is built to last for 1,000 years. The work of giving direction to the new India has been done for 1000 years. It would not be an exaggeration if we call this Union Cabinet the Cabinet of the millennium,” read the resolution adopted at the meeting.

It said that the wave of emotions seen in the sea of ​​humanity across the country on the day of Pran Pratistha was unprecedented.

“We saw such unity among people during the Emergency. But, that was a movement against a dictator. The mass movement witnessed for Lord Ram is ushering in a new era,” the resolution said.

It said that the people of the country had to wait for many centuries and with the consecration of Lord Ram in the grand temple, this mass movement became a movement that ushered in a new era.

It said for the Union Cabinet members, this is not just a once in a lifetime moment, but an opportunity that comes once in many lifetimes.

“We are fortunate to be a part of the highest committee of the country – the Cabinet – at this time,” the resolution said.

“We, the Cabinet Ministers, thank Prime Minister Modi under whose leadership the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha took place.

“The dream that Indian civilization was dreaming of for the last several centuries has now been fulfilled,” the resolution said.
