A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck New York City on Friday, briefly interrupting a U.N. Security Council meeting on Gaza, which the U.S. Geological Survey said was the third largest earthquake recorded in the region in the past five years and New Jersey’s strongest in more than 240 years.

The shaking was caught on camera as Save the Children president Janti Soeripto spoke at the meeting. One council member joked that Soripto caused “earthquakes.”
