Kremlin says ‘no agreement reached’ in peace talks
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov disagreed, asking whether it would be correct to say that Vladimir Putin had rejected the US overtures.
“Yesterday, for the first time, there was a direct exchange of views,” Peskov said. “Some things were accepted, some things were marked as unacceptable. This is a normal working process to find compromises.”
A Kremlin aide said after the meeting that “the agreement has not been reached yet”.

“We have heard from Australia and New Zealand who will also contribute to PURL, the first NATO partners to do so.

The Romanian military says the Romanian military shot down a maritime drone that was endangering navigation in the Black Sea, the country’s Defense Ministry says, amid growing concerns about threats to navigation in the region linked to the war.
The ministry said the drone found 36 nautical miles east of Constanta was Sea Baby – a maritime drone developed by Ukraine.
A Romanian Defense Ministry spokesman declined to reveal which country the drone came from, but confirmed it was a Sea Baby.
Ukraine’s SBU security service said all of its Sea Baby drones on operational tasks in the Black Sea region had been detected, with none destroyed. It said none had entered Romanian waters.
“Ukraine always abides by international law, does not violate international borders and treats its allies with respect,” it said.
