Officials said two Indian Army personnel lost their lives after falling a boulder on a military convoy vehicle in Ladakh on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred around 11:30 am when a large rock rotated a rock and hit one of the vehicles in the convoy.
The army confirmed the death of Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh, who made the highest sacrifice in the line of duty.
“GOC, Fire and Fury Corps and all rank salute Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh, who made the highest sacrifice in the line of duty in Ladakh on 30 July 2025, and give deep mourning to the mourned families in this hour,”
The Army’s Fire and Fury Corps unit shared, “A boulder from a rock fell on one of a military convoy vehicles in Ladakh, around 1130H on 30 July 2025. Recovery action is in progress,” Earlier the Indian Army posted about the incident.
