Two drug peddlers arrested along with Constrabond in Baramullah

Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the police in Baramulla arrested two drug pedals and recovered the controversial substances from their possession.

A spokesman said that the police party of Police Station Tangamarg, headed by Shu PS Tangmarg, intercepted a vehicle (Alto) at a checkpoint installed in Tangmarg on the registration number JK04E-1076 with two persons on the board. During the search, 09 grams of heroin -like substance was recovered from his possession. He is identified as Zahid Ahmed Mir, a resident of Chanapora, a resident of Chhanpora and Abdul Ahad Lone, a resident of Chanapora, a resident of Hasan Mir. Both the accused have been arrested and transferred to the police station where they are in custody. The vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been confiscated.

In this regard, a case video FIR No. 34/2025 has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg under the relevant sections of the law and further investigation is underway.
