US President Donald Trump announced more trade deals this week as it was negotiated for a new economic and security partnership for Canada and the United States as its time limit.
Trump said on Tuesday that the United States had deals with Japan and the Philippines.
The White House provided more information about a deal structure with Indonesia, which was declared by Trump earlier this month.
Trump’s latest duty deadlines come just a week before the announcements come, and the pressure on many of America’s largest trading partners increases.
Trump sent a letter to several countries including Canada, saying that if a deal is not done by August 1, it will impose high tariffs on imports in the United States.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Mark Carney confirmed Canada-US trade minister Dominic Labtle in Washington this week, but reduced the expectations of a deal from Trump’s deadline.
