Truck derails near Salero Hilla railway station in Delhi

Ten bogies of a freight train derailed near the national capital’s Salero Hilla train station on Saturday, officials said. They said the possibility of casualties on the track could not be ruled out.

The incident took place on Saturday morning when the train was passing through Zakila flyover.

A railway police official said that 10 bogies derailed in the accident, adding that rescue operations were underway. Railway police and fire brigade have rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work.

“The iron rolls were loaded into the freight train. The possibility of casualties on the track cannot be ruled out,” the official said.
