Triston Rogers, who played on heritage character Robert Scorpio ABC’s “General Hospital,” The Soap Opera died on Friday less than a month after making a special appearance. He was 79 years old.
The show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, said in a statement, “The entire ‘General Hospital’ is heartbroken to hear the family of Triston Rogers.” “Triston has closed our fans for 45 years and Port Charles will not be the same without him (or Robert Scorpio).”
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Rogers used to play drums in a rock band with a group of friends and a group of friends to perform for the first time. They were not successful so Rogers turned into commercial work and modeling to earn some money. When the band dissolved, Rogers decided to try to act. After various roles in Australia, he also worked as a DJ and finally went to Los Angeles to try to break in Hollywood. He said the casting directors were initially closed by his pronunciation, but he eventually played a two -day role in the “General Hospital” in 1980.

“I had no name. I was clearly brought to defeat the hero, Luke, (played by Anthony Giri), and then disappeared,” said Rogers. His first day was half -over when the then executive manufacturer Gloria Monty asked if he wanted to live. He did not have any character written for him, so Monty asked him to appear in “visible, suspicious looking” scenes for three weeks, until he came with a story. It was decided that he would be known as a detective as “CK8” and was finally named Robert Scorpio. This character will remain a stability in Port Charles for the rest of the life of Rogers, even when he was not a current artist member.
With the Scorpio On Again/of Again romance, Emma Sams’s character, Holi Sutton, remained a favorite among fans. Scorpio also had a romance, and another detective, along with Anna Deven, was played by many storylines, Finola Hughes. Scorpio and Deven shared a daughter, Robin, who was played by Kimberly Macul. Sams returned to the show for the final fall, where it was discovered that Scorpio was the father of his adult daughter, Sasha Gilmore (starring Sophia Matson).
Rogers and Sams left the show together in taped scenes with a node for “Casablanca” in November 2024. He returned to the show for an episode in July when Sasha arrived at her home in France with her new child. It was then revealed that Rogers had lung cancer
Other acting credits of Rogers include “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless” and “Studio City”, who won him outstanding actor in a digital drama series at Amy Awards during the day. He is alive by his wife, Teresa Parkerson and a daughter and a son.
