Tributes have been paid to a “doting” mother and “legendary” daughter who were killed by a car in Devon this weekend.
Destiny Harrison, 24, and Linnea Harrison, 5, were hit by a Nissan Qashqai on Victoria Road. plymouthSunday morning, police said.
The pedestrians were all seriously injured and taken to the hospital, where they later died.
Their relatives issued a statement Devon Cornwall Police said on Monday: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected and devastating loss of Destiny and Linnie Harrison, who died together yesterday.
“Destiny, a beautiful, strong young woman who was the doting mother of the legendary Linnia, never failed to make you smile.
“Our family will never be the same without you two. Words can never express how much we miss you.
“Angels, sleep well. You will never be forgotten.
“We love you. Always, forever.”
Paramedics, fire service and police attended the incident.
A 74-year-old woman from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving while impaired by drink or drugs and has been released under investigation, police said.

Sergeant Troy Bennett, who is leading the investigation, said: “Experts from the Serious Collision Investigation Team are investigating the circumstances of this tragic collision.
“We urge anyone with dash cam or doorbell information or footage to contact us.”
Police added that the family requested privacy “to grieve and come to terms with their loss.”
