Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Trent Boult is a superstar who is a central figure in the franchise’s squad for the IPL 2024 season. “I celebrated Holi for the first time and I still have pink coming off my hair and face, but yeah, amazing experience. It’s always fun to experience the culture in India,” Boult said at the start of the IPL season.
The standout performer, the Kiwi fast bowler also gives insight into his surname which actually has a connection to cricket. “Me, my parents chose my name and I chose my career, so I’m lucky to have a name like Bolt when it comes to bowling. It’s always a funny pun when Lightning Bolt comes up.”
On the pitch, Boult once again impressed as Rajasthan restricted Bengaluru to 172-8, which they achieved with six balls to spare in a do-or-die play-off at the world’s largest cricket stadium on Wednesday.
