Srinagar, 03 July: The Kashmir Police has issued an advice for the devotees traveling to Amarnath, urging them to travel only in the nominated convoy. The 38-day pilgrimage started on Thursday and is taking place in the shadow of the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed.
In a post in X, Kashmir Zone Police said, “Shri Amarnathji Yatra #Advisory for Yatris of 2025.
Yetris, which is long before the scheduled date, is advised to reach the appropriate before the day of Vetra ”
The advisor came amidst the security arrangements and focus on the preparations for the annual pilgrimage, who sees thousands of devotees for the holy Amarnath cave pilgrimage in South Kashmir every year.
Meanwhile, the authorities have set up 17 medical camps at the langar sites, set up mini hospitals, and deployed ambulances in Ramban district, as the 38-day Amarnath pilgrimage starts today, weeks after the Pahgam terror attack, which killed 26 people after religious profiling.
