Business Minister Kevin Hollinrake appeared surprised to find out he was getting a pay rise during a live television interview on Monday (April 1).

The Conservative MP appeared on Gareth Barlow’s show sky news On the breakfast show, the presenter asked him about the 5.5% pay rise for MPs, which comes into effect today.

“I didn’t know we were going to get a raise,” Mr. Hollingrek said, appearing a bit surprised.

Meanwhile, the UK’s minimum age rose by 9.8% from £10.42 an hour to £11.44 an hour.
