Top US magazine slams UK Conservatives’ 14-year ‘psychodrama’

A top US magazine has issued a scathing assessment of Britain after 14 years of Tory rule, slamming Brexit and the “accelerating, diminishing” changes in prime ministers since 2010.

The New Yorker’s scathing report on the state of the UK reveals how Brexit has “given birth to some of the worst tendencies in British politics”, its superficiality, nostalgia and love of games.

The report said the country had “suffered severely” from “years of loss and waste” under successive Conservative prime ministers.

An influential New Yorker article said: “Some people insist that the past fifteen years of British politics cannot be satisfactorily explained.
